Account & Data Deletion
If you use the CarbCred mobile app and want to delete your farmer account and associated programme data, follow the steps below. You do not need to reinstall the app to submit a deletion request.
How to request account deletion
- Send an email from the address linked to your account (if any) or from your registered mobile number to carbon@thobdevedicfarms.com.
- Use the subject line: CarbCred account deletion request.
- Include your registered mobile number, full name, and the village or district shown in your registration (to help us verify your identity).
- State clearly that you want your CarbCred / Vedic Way farmer account deleted and whether you also want associated registration documents and field records removed where legally permitted.

What we delete
After verifying your identity, we will delete or anonymise, where legally permitted:
- Your farmer profile and login account (mobile OTP account).
- Contact details, UPI/payout preferences, and optional email stored for your profile.
- Registration drafts and programme records that are not subject to mandatory retention.
- Uploaded documents and geo-tagged media tied solely to your account, where retention is not required.
What may be retained
Some data may be kept after account deletion when required by law, carbon-registry rules, tax records, fraud-prevention audits, or active grievance/dispute resolution. Retained data is minimised, access-controlled, and kept only for the period required by applicable law or programme contracts. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Processing time
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 business days and complete verified account deletion within 30 days, unless a longer period is required for legal or registry compliance. We may contact you once to confirm your identity or clarify your request.
Delete some data without deleting your account
To correct or remove specific data (for example an optional email address or an uploaded document) without closing your account, email carbon@thobdevedicfarms.com with the same verification details and describe the data you want updated or removed.
